New zealand long term skill shortage list

Long-term lack of skills work visa

There are three different lists that record the shortage of skilled labor in New Zealand, and each of these lists experiences a shortage of skilled labor in New Zealand.

Long-term list of skills shortages
The Long-Term Skills Shortage List (LTSSL) identifies occupations where there is a persistent and persistent shortage of highly skilled workers throughout New Zealand.

Regional skills shortage list
The Regional Skills Shortage List (RSSL) shows the occupations that are very deficient in certain regions of New Zealand and indicates that there are no New Zealand nationals or residents available to fill the position. This allows faster processing of the request.

Construction and infrastructure shortage list
The Construction and Infrastructure Skills Shortage List (CISSL) includes industries with critical shortages in the construction industry in New Zealand.

To apply for a visa under this category, you must be 55 years of age or younger, have the specified work experience, qualifications, and professional record to work in a profession on the Long-Term Skills Shortage List (LTSSL), and an offer to work in the profession in question. The critical eligibility criterion is to be adequately qualified by education and/or experience to accept the offer of employment (including the specific requirements set out in the LTSSL).

This visa category offers a way to stay in New Zealand. You can start your path to New Zealand residency by working for up to 30 months in a profession where there is a shortage of New Zealanders.

While on this visa, you must work in the specified LTSSL employment, for the specific employer, and at the specific location specified in the job offer that was the basis for your work visa application.

If you continue to work in that profession at LTSSL in New Zealand for two years, you can apply for a residence visa.

You can not include a partner or dependent children in your work visa application, but they can apply for a visa based on their relationship with you.
